“Compass has turned out to be a good place for [my son] to feel emotionally safe and available to learn. I think the best thing about Compass is the number of talented teachers.”

Current Parent

“It is very difficult to find a program for a child, who needs some extra help and support, a child, who is learning at a pace different from regular peers. The first time I visited Compass High School I was not only impressed, I was shocked, in a good way!...

Current Parent

“There is a very high level of individualization, school truly “teaches each and every child”

Current Parent

“Different methods, tools, technology, are used to accommodate kids with different learning challenges and learning styles.”

Compass High Student

“The most impactful part of Compass are the small classes and really being able to connect with the teachers. I feel comfortable making a mistake because my teacher’s know it is a part of the learning process.”

Compass High Student

”Teachers will work with us instead of giving up on us.”

Tuition

Compass High Tuition for the 2018-2019 school year is $39,500. Textbooks, instructional materials, and supplies, and the cost of most field trips are included in our tuition.

Additional fees are charged for clinical services that are provided in a one-to- one format, and longer out-of- state and international trips.

Compass High School offers limited financial aid for families who qualify.

Financial Aid

We recognize the effort and financial commitment involved in enrolling a student at Compass. Our Board of Trustees and school staff are committed to ensuring that Compass’s specialized program is available to students and families regardless of their ability to afford the cost. We are actively fundraising for donations and grants to support a need-based scholarship program and have a plan to increase financial aid resources every year for the next five years.

The School’s Financial Aid Committee awards grants based upon careful review of each family’s financial aid application and the recommendations of School and Student Services (SSS) by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). As a result, financial aid awards reflect each family’s unique circumstances, vary in size, and may change from year to year depending upon our financial aid resources and the financial need of applicants. All financial aid information provided by families is kept strictly confidential.

There are three steps to the process:

  • Step One: Fill out a Financial Aid Application
  • Step Two:  Fill out the Parents Financial Statement (PFS) through the NAIS website
  • Step Three: Submit your 2017 federal tax return (2018 if available), all schedules, and W-2s.
