Learning Specialist

Lauren Solomon is a Learning Specialist, teacher and supervisor of CORE, the skills based reading, writing and executive function program. She also provides 1 on 1 instruction to students outside of the classroom. She has an A.B. from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, a J.D. from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois and an M.A. in Learning Disabilities from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. She holds an Illinois teaching certificate as a Learning/Behavioral Specialist 1. Lauren previously worked as a Learning Specialist at the Schwab Learning Center at Stanford University and taught fourth grade at Charles Armstrong School, Belmont, California.
Currently, she also maintains a Learning Specialist private practice in the Peninsula and South Bay, working with students from mid-elementary through university levels. In a different career, Lauren worked as a criminal defense lawyer in Chicago, Los Angeles and Sacramento.
