Compass High School is excited to offer students entering seventh through tenth grades a two-part summer program.
Part One is designed to improve students’ Study Skills within the framework of a fascinating look at the Salem Witch Trials. This entertaining course will pique students’ curiosity while teaching them critical thinking and reading skills, as well as studying and test-taking strategies. Head of School, Doug Killin, will lead the program.
Part Two will empower students to express their creative abilities through technology. Participants will use several parts of the Apple application suite to create a song in Garage Band; use Photos to alter images; and build a music video in iMovie. Technology Coordinator, Radni Pireh, will teach this course.
The program will be offered Monday through Thursday, July 6th through the 31st from 9AM to 1PM. Participants can be dropped off between 8:30 and 9:00AM and must be picked up by 1:15PM. Students are expected to attend all four weeks. Morning and lunch breaks will be included in the four-hour session. Students should bring a packed lunch each day.
Cost is $2,975.
Register by February 29, 2020 to receive an Early Bird discount of $150.
Due to limited space, a $500 refundable deposit should be mailed to Compass High School by March 31, 2020. The remaining balance of $2,475.00 will be due June 1, 2020.
